On July 20 and 21, Houston International Institute held four online preparatory seminars for the introduced courses, including “Professional English Writing 1”，“Circuit Analysis”, “Computer-Aided Drawing” and the meeting of programme leader of Electronic Engineering. Dean Zhang Jinlei, Deputy Dean Alejandrina Campanella of UH, Head of English teaching faculty Cheng Xin, UH Programme Leader of Electronic Engineering Badri Roysam, Programme Leader of Electronic Engineering Zhang Jingbo, UH & DMU Instructors from relevant courses attended the online meeting, which was chaired by the presidents of both sides in Houston International Institute.
The four meetings were all carried out with self-introduction of teachers from both sides. In the course of discussion, the responsibilities of UH instructors, DMU instructors and TAs were explicated. Due to the impact of COVID-19, introduced courses in the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year would continue to be delivered online, assisted offline, and paralleled online and offline Q & A sessions. Both parties would apply the BB platform for lectures and tests. During the meeting, the participating teachers had further exchanges on the platform used for online teaching. In addition, the course materials and teaching contents are confirmed in order to ensure a good communication bridge between UH and DMU instructors.
