In order to further create a rigorous and honest learning atmosphere and strengthen the construction of examination discipline, Houston International Institute held three “Academic honesty” meetings on July 15th and 16th. Zhang Jinlei, dean of Houston International Institute, Shao Guang, secretary of CPC committee of the Houston International Institute, He Jiantong, deputy dean of Houston International Institute, Zhang Jian, secretary of the Youth League committee, Liu Ou, secretary of academic affairs and all the students of class 2020 attended the conference.
He Jiantong emphasized the examination arrangements, examination requirements etc. He said academic honesty should not only be reflected in exams, but also through all aspects of the learning process. He suggested that students carefully read the “DMU Students Disciplinary Punishment Implementation Rules” and the letter of commitment to integrity examination, and understood the serious consequences of the violation of discipline, test honestly, be an honest person, right attitude, to eliminate cheating in the examination place and academic dishonesty. He hoped that the students could fully take advantage of the revision time, seriously prepare for each course, treat each exam with an honest attitude, strive for excellent results with real knowledge, and show good study style with integrity.
Zhang Jinlei stressed the importance of academic honesty when signing of the letter of commitment in the integrity examination, helping students to realise that the institute attaches great importance to the cultivation of students’ integrity consciousness and resolutely cracks down on cheating in exams and academic dishonesty.
